In May, 1999 Odyssey International, Inc., purchased the Marie-Anda from Blue Lagoon Cruises who is located in Lautoka, Fiji. The Marie-Anda was built in 1978 in Fiji for Blue Lagoon Cruises to be used as a small cruise ship which accommodated 40 passengers for 1-7 day cruises around the Yasawa Islands in Fiji.
In July, 1999, renovations began on the Marie-Anda transforming her into the breathtaking new Odyssey. The 20 cabins were removed and replaced with 9 very spacious staterooms and a comfortable entertainment lounge. The Odyssey is 132 feet long, with a 24 foot beam and draft of 6 feet, built entirely of steel.
